Today I, with the assistance of my business colleague Connie from YogaInAHurry.com, presented at the Summer Speaker Series and spoke about using free and inexpensive services to get your business online.
When I first decided to build my Internet business, I was shocked at the charges for some of the services and being aware that a good business person manages their expenses to ensure the success of their business, I really didn’t feel that I could justify the expense for many of the things I was seeing. So I decided to do a lot of things for myself and, as a result, I have found a number of free and inexpensive services that any business person can take advantage to develop their business. All you have to know is what those services are and how to put them together.
During my presentation, I recommended a series of Plug-Ins that all blogs should have at a minimum. To help you out, here they are:
- All In One SEO
- Backup WordPress
- Comment Luv
- Exec-PHP
- Google Analytics
- Google Sitemaps
- OneClick Installer
Other resources that I have found extremely helpful in my journey to build my business are:
AWeber as my autoresponder service
Google Analytics to track and measure
Hitslink is another excellent Analytics service that has a free option
If you’re looking for a great, supportive group to network with and learn from try:
Wonderful Web Women with Janet Beckers
Internet Success System with Mark Hendricks
Now, as part of the presentation, Connie asked 3 questions. The first three people to answer these questions correctly will receive a FREE 30 minute consultation with me. You can use that consultation to address ‘challenges’ that you’re having, get that work done that you’ve been meaning to have done or to have some training on a particular issue…… To be in the chance to get one of these consultations, all you have to do is be one of the first three people to answer the following questions correctly! I will put the names (and websites) of those who are quick enough to respond correctly on this page…… I’ve also included an area for you to comment, so please let me know if you have anything in particular that you want to discuss or what you thought of the presentation. When you submit the quiz, you will receive an email asking you to confirm whether you would like to receive updates on my services – I have a special gift for those who confirm that request….
The Summer Speaker series runs all August 2008 and features 42 speakers in 30 days!
